My love and passion for Chinese medicine and acupuncture began from her own journey to investigate and identify solutions into everyday health issues that individuals face as a result of the lifestyle and environmental conditions we live under.
I believes that many of the health problems we see today can be attributed to living in our stressful and modern environment. Chinese medicine works by finding the imbalance in the body and treating the underlying cause with herbal medicine and acupuncture. A deeper understanding of the connection between the mind and the body can help to align what is out of balance and achieve harmony and positive well-being.
My areas of interest include pain management, gynaecology, fertility, pregnancy and general health. Through a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, dietary and lifestyle advice I aims to provide an integrated approach to achieving positive health outcomes.
After completing my Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) degree at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, Lauren also undertook an internship in Taiwan, at the Tzu Chi Buddhist Hospital where she gained experience working within departments of gynaecology, dermatology, rheumatology, oncology, neurology and stroke. I am a registered Chinese medicine practitioner and a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. Consultations are covered by all major private health funds.
The clinic is located in Thornbury and appointments for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are available online.
I also consult in East Melbourne, where I am on of the Directors of the Melbourne Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic and East Melbourne Acupuncture.
